Outdoor Learning Workshop
Tír na nÓg Forest School and Recreation New Brunswick are pleased to present the first in a series of Outdoor Learning Professional Development workshops.
Facilitated by outdoor education experts, Mavis Lewis-Webber and Marlene Power, the day will introduce participants to the underlying ethos of Forest and Nature School, the pedagogy behind the Forest School model and how this translates into practice in a variety of early learning settings. It will explore how natural spaces and natural, found materials can be used to support rich opportunities for play-based learning and an emergent curriculum.
The workshop will take place from 9am to 3:30pm on Saturday, May 30th at Tír na nÓg Forest School in Roachville, NB. Educators from all realms, including after school, preschool and recreation leaders are welcome.
If you know an After School Leader or anyone interested in this training opportunity, please contact NB PLAYS! Coordinator, Michelle DeCourcey at nbplays@recreationnb.ca or by calling (506) 459-1929 Ext. 5 for more information.
