The Recreation New Brunswick Active Living Award of Excellence recognizes a community, program, facility, organization, individual, youth residential camp, or inclusive initiatives that have demonstrated a commitment to active living or health promotion in their community or the Province of New Brunswick. Award recipients will be committed to active living and health promotion through the support of physical activity and healthy lifestyles that contribute to vibrant and healthy citizens and their community.

Nominees may contribute to this through excellence in programming, facility design/operation, management, or involvement. Supporting documentation must include how nominees have excelled and/or contributed in the area of active living. Documentation must also include the provided nomination form.

 
Doug Moore Scholarship PDF Print E-mail

Jet Ice Limited, in conjunction with the International Icemakers Society, offers the Doug Moore Scholarship to support an individual interested in attending the Arena Operators Course. The successful candidate receives a scholarship covering the cost of course registration, transportation, accommodations and meals.

Jim Fox Award of Distinction PDF Print E-mail

Annually, RPANB seeks nominations for the RPANB Award of Distinction. The Award of Distinction is the premier award presented by RPANB. This award is presented to an individual, community, facility, or group in recognition of their meritorious and significant achievement at the community or provincial level. The recipient shall have made a significant and distinct contribution to the field of recreation through such areas as growth, development and/or enhancement of recreation. The nominee will also have promoted high standards and public awareness of Recreation in New Brunswick.

All members or affiliates of RPANB are entitled to submit nominations for this award. Please complete the nomination form together with an information sheet that fully describes the contributions of the nominee keeping in mind the above selection criteria.

Supporting Documentation:

  • Newspaper clippings, awards and photographs should accompany this nomination.
  • Brief biographical data both personal and professional.
  • List of contributions and accomplishments to the field of recreation.
  • Other pertinent information.
  • Documentation must also include the provided nomination form.
 
Randy Dickinson Community Inclusion Award PDF Print E-mail

Recreation New Brunswick's Community Inclusion Award is presented on an annual basis for the purpose of recognizing a program or facility that has furthered the inclusion of persons with disabilities within the area of sport, recreation and active living in New Brunswick.

Nomination submissions must demonstrate how a program or a facility has contributed to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities within their respective communities. All members and affiliates of Recreation New Brunswick are entitled to submit nominations for this award. Completion of the Nomination form in addition to the attachment of supporting documentation is required.
