Recreation New Brunswick is pleased to offer the ever popular Arena Inspection & Maintenance Logbook. The development of this record keeping system has been initiated by Association members throughout New Brunswick. The Recreation New Brunswick Parks and Facilities committee working together with other arena managers has developed this system of accurate record keeping for arena facilities.
It is our belief that this manual should be used as a standard record keeping system for arena staff to record daily, weekly, and monthly checklist, inventory list and as a general maintenance log for repairs and improvements that have been completed. Each checklist in this log book has space available for customers to customise each list for additional items that the customer would like inspected on a regular basis. This document will act as an excellent management tool for any reasonable risk management program.
Cost: English $75 (Member) $85 (Non-member) | French $85 (Member) $95 (Non-member). HST is extra.
Copies of this publication can be obtained by contacting the Recreation New Brunswick, RFANS or PEIRFA offices. This publication is also available in French.
There's no question that making the commitment to becoming a more inclusive organization demands creativity in adapting traditional thinking. The fact is, people with a disability simply want to take advantage of active living opportunities in the communities where they live, just like anybody else. Sometimes, access to these opportunities is not automatic for a variety of reasons and the solution may not be immediately apparent. The Active Living Alliance for Canadians with a Disability (ALACD) has prepared the All Abilities Welcome Toolkit that gives a step-by-step approach to creating inclusive programs, ideas for easy modifications and adaptations, and provides additional information and resources that may be of help for your organization. Rnb's Inclusive Recreation Committee is the Provincial contact for this program, and can facilitate presentations and workshops throughout NB.
Let's celebrate "June is Recreation & Parks Month" together! We encourage all of our members to display the toolkit, posters, and radio psa on your website, and circulate to the citizens in your communities. Why not ask your municipal council to sign the proclamation declaring your region as an official "June is Recreation & Parks Month" municipality? RNB also has merchandise that we can send to municipalities as give-aways for your summer programs. Supply is limited, so call today to place your order.
